Hello to everyone.
I hope that you are all well and that you are having a nice week :)
Thank you to everyone who took part in last week's challenge – there were some gorgeous cards and some fabulous interpretations of the sketch :)
So we need a winner and this week it’s ….
Yes Caroline – KISS, it’s you!! I read that you had a little fall so I hope that this cheers you up and that you are OK now xxx
Caroline did the most wonderful card ….
… and here it is. Aren’t those colours gorgeous (they’d be perfect for this week’s challenge lol !!!)
Well done to you and if you e-mail me your details I’ll pass your details on to Beckie at Lilac Lemon Designs , and hugest of thanks to her for her wonderful sponsorship xxx
So onto our challenge for this week and it’s a colour challenge for you. As the weather is getting warmer, there’s nothing better than a nice ice cream. I went to buy one a few weeks ago and there were rows and rows of tubs in all sorts of flavours and I was struck by all the pretty colours. So it inspired me for this challenge which is
Ice cream flavours
And all you have to do is base the colour theme of your card on your fave ice cream (or even a mixture of them), so think neopolitan, raspberry ripple, mint choc chip, pistachio, rum and raisin etc etc and use those yummy colours.
We have a brand new sponsor for you this week and I am so pleased to welcome
Its
Di’s Digital Downloads and there are
5 digis of your choice up for grabs. If you haven't checked out the website, do nip and have a look peeps because there is a gorgeous free digi image there for you. And here is a little bit about Di and her company -
I trained as a graphic designer many years ago and now work in the NHS as a medical photographer, part time. I have been cardmaking since I bought my daughter a stamping kit and I got hooked showing her how to use it. That was 4 years ago. I have always drawn as a child and when I couldn’t find the stamps I wanted, decided to start drawing my own then digis became popular so I started my digi site.
I first used my children’s toys as inspiration and opened my shop in Christmas 2009. I love making the images and seeing what other crafters do with them, that’s the lovely part
We also have some new faces here at Papertake. We are pleased to welcome our new GDT who are
Beth and
Jenny – we hope you enjoy your stay with us girlies :)xx
AND we have a brand new full time team member and I am so thrilled that this lady could join us because I have drooled over her work for years . Lots of you will have done the same because she is a magazine regular, and she is none other than
Katina Killey. Welcome to you chick and we hope you enjoy being part of our team xxx
So without further ado, let’s see what yummy flavours the PTW chicksters have used for their cards. Some of the team have used Di’s fabulous images so I’ve put a note of the name of the digi on which I hope will help.
Jenny (GDT – A Very Special Note From Bunny)
Katina (I Picked You Some Flowers)
Steph
Dawny P (Party Time)
So that’s what we did and now it’s over to you. Don’t forget if you get a sec to check out our individual blogs and see what else we’ve all been up to.
Have a great week peeps and see you next Tuesday.
